Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 27, 2026

SmartPTZ (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

The smartPTZ app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or contacts, and it does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. To run the camera, its remote control and its AI tracking, the app does send the following:

  • Camera ID and settings. Each phone gets a random PTZ-ID. That ID, with the camera’s settings (camera, tracking, stream and recording settings, including a stream server and key you enter), is kept in our cloud database so the web console and Companion can control it.
  • Court scan pictures. When you use Court scan, the stitched picture of the court is uploaded so the web console can show it.
  • Usage counts. How often the app is opened, how many streams and recordings are started and how long they run, and your answer to “Where did you hear about smartPTZ?”, stored against the PTZ-ID, not against you.
  • Crash reports and app analytics, through Google Firebase, to find and fix problems.
  • App install and launch events sent to Meta (Facebook) to measure our own ads. smartPTZ never asks for permission to track, so no advertising identifier (IDFA) is collected, and Meta receives these through Apple’s privacy-preserving ad measurement.

Your video and audio go only to the destination you set (for example YouTube or your switcher) and to the web console’s live preview, which may pass through our relay servers. We do not record or keep them. Recordings stay on your phone. The diagnostics log stays on your phone unless you choose to share it.

If you sign in to the web console, we keep the email address you sign in with, to run your account.

Information Provided by Apple

When you download or use SmartPTZ, Apple may provide limited, non-identifying information such as:

  • Subscription status (for example, whether your subscription is active or inactive)
  • Device and app version information
  • Country or region, for App Store operations

We do not receive your Apple ID email address or your App Store payment information.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above only to:

  • Let the web console, Companion and the app control and preview your cameras
  • Verify your subscription status
  • Find and fix crashes and improve the app
  • Understand how people find and use smartPTZ, and measure our own advertising

We do not sell or rent any data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising.

3. Data Storage

Camera settings, court scan pictures and usage counts are stored in Google Firebase. Settings stored on the phone stay on the phone. You can ask us to delete the data for a PTZ-ID at any time by emailing us.

4. Third-Party Services

SmartPTZ uses Google Firebase (database, sign-in, crash reports and analytics) and the Meta (Facebook) SDK (ad install measurement). Each handles data under its own privacy policy.

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

5. Children’s Privacy

SmartPTZ is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
